finding a reference angle
- find the quadrant the angle is in.
- determine if the trig function is postive or negative
- subtract 180 degrees from the angle until theta is between 0 and angle.
- if it is a trig chart angle plug in, if not leav it or plug in calculator.
Hint: evaluate means # answer unlesas otherwise specified.
Find tan inverse (1) without a calculator.
- put it on the coordinating plane
- subtract from 180
- keep subtracting until you get a answer between zero and ninety.
the answer is forty five degrees.
