Week 7 Prompt

What have you personally accomplished in math this semester? Do you feel more confident? What will you do differently next semester?

  1. This is Nathan with the week 7 blog prompt response.

When the second nine weeks came around, my grade was low, and I made a goal of getting an A by the end of the semester. I have done that and hopefully I won't have to take B-Rob's exam. all I had to do was pay more attention in class, and do all of my homework.

I feel more confident than I did in the first nine weeks because I think that I am grasping the concepts better. B rob's class is not impossible to get an A in, it just take a lot of hard work to accomplish that. I came into the class thinking that it would be hard just to get a C, but with a little effort, you can make a good grade.

I don't know if I will do to many things differently next semester because the studying and work I did this nine weeks, really paid off.

  2. HEY EVERYONE!!!! TAYLOR HERE AND THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO THIS WEEKS PROMPT!!!!!!

This semester I feel like I have accomplished a few things. I have a better understanding of sin, cos, tan, cot, csc, and sec, in identifying and solving arithmetic and geometric equations, finding trig functions, theta, word problems, my grades are improving, and I have a better understanding of triangles. I now know how to study for your test and a bit more about trig. I feel slightly more confident in trig, in memorizing formulas, using formulas, filling out the information in a triangle, and I still need to study a lot. I believe that I need to improve on how I do my homework, where I do my homework, how I study for your test, I need to relax and get faster at solving any and all equations, and I need to ask more questions in class.

WELL THAT'S ALL FOR NOW UNTIL LATER SEE YA!!!

  3. I personally feel like i have accomplish alot in class this semester. Before this semester i never understand trig and i would have never attempted a trig problem on a standardized test but now i feel more confident in my abilities.
I also feel more confident than i did in the first semester. Most people made it seems like it was impossible to get an A in your class. But if you do all your homework and ask questions about the things you do not understand than you should make be to get an A.
I believe that i need do my homework because this nine weeks i slacked alot on it and i could also studying a little bit. I also need to move faster on the tests so that i can finish the test on time.

  4. Charlie's blog comment thing..

this year i, personally, accomplished a couple things. i understand certain problems better. i also understand some greek letters in a better way (like, now i know what the fish thingy symbol really is called). i also brought up my trig. thingy on ACT from a 7 to a 11. my grade in this class, though, isn't that good. i use to make straight a's in mrs. angie's class, i WAS smart.

i feel more confident when it comes to ACT testing on the math section, but that's about it. idk why knowing some more math would make me more confident in regular days kinda stuff?

i'll pay more attention in class; even though it's kinda hard because some people don't really shut up. and i'll do my homework, i promise(:

  5. Feroz, doing the comment thing.

I feel like I've accomplished a lot this semester, but not enough.

I feel a lot more confident in this class thanks to my tutors, Kaitlyn and Helen, and I believe I had a B in this class for more than 3 weeks, so that's pretty freaking awesome.

I definitely need to study more and not sleep all the time. And I only missed 1 blog this nine weeks, which is definitely an improvement, but I shouldn't have because every point counts. And should definitely learn the rest of the trig chart besides sin and cos, because that's starting to bite me in the ass.

The last thing that would REALLY help me would be for everyone to stop talking about bacon.

  6. this is lawrence doing the week 7 blog prompt. i have accomplished a lot of things this semester. i learned how to do my homework and it showed me that i can make better grades and keep my grade up by doing my homework because it helps me understand what is going on. i also learned how to use the calculator more which will help me while i take the ACT and i also learned more formulas that will help me score better on the math part in the ACT which will help bring my composite score up even more. i also got a better understanding of trig and how it applies to everyday life. without any of this stuff we wouldnt have the things we have now. i do feel a little more confident because i been bringing my B up and its because of mary helping me understand a few things and b-rob of course who helped me. i can still improve on a lot more things though. i need to try every day and all the time not just most of the time. the few days that i just were lazy on were the ones that hurt me the most.

that is more my blog and i so can't wait for the christmas break.

  7. I feel I have accomplished soooooooooooo much, being in B-Rob's class changed my entire work ethic, because i have to do my homework and have to do the work to get anywhere, and when i don't get it, i go look it up. This nine weeks, my notes are neatly displayed in sheet protectors and i have an important formula cards, which has saved my life more than a few times. and all this ish i do in this class has rubbed off on the other work i do in other classes,

I have an A and man i derserve it!( i think i have an A) i actually learned and don't forget what we learned the day after, but i have to admit, its my most difficult class, and its kickin my butt, i never have anything come before work for this class. oh boy, i'm SSSSSSOOO excited for calc! 9. I feel that i have accomplished a lot in this class. This year i've learned sooo muchh. I'm gladd that i got a chance to learn all this because i know that all the things that we have learned so far in this class, we will use again and againn in the future. It was hard at first, but now i'm starting to get the hang of it.

Now that we have been in this class for a while now, i feel muchh more confident because now i know what i need to do to keep my grades up. At first it was hard for me because i wasn't use to the teaching style and the wayy things were done in that class, but now i feel much more confident because im use to it.

Next semester i probably should start doing more of my homework and not be as lazyyy. I learned that you couuld pass this class real easilyy if you do your homework and actually payy attention to every detail that is being taught. I probably should start asking more questions as well, and try harder to fully understand everything that is being taughttt.

  10. Honestly, I don't think I have accomplished as much as i could have this semester. I think if i would have set my mind to doing the homework every night and asking multiple questions when we had the chance, i would be better off. I have learned a lot more than i thought i would have before i walked into the door. It's weird that you can hear things from other people saying that advanced math was such a hard class when really all you have to do is apply yourself.

Being in this class for half a year has really taught me that you can't make the grade you want by blowing off homework, not paying attention much, and bombing the quizzes. This is pretty much all i did this past semester. but during this nine weeks, i tried harder. i did all of my homework most of the time, i studied before quizzes and payed attention to the notes and such.

Next semester, my main goal is to be EXEMPT from this exam. I don't plan on missing any school and if i apply myself, i can definately pull off a B in the class. its gonna be tough, but no one said life was easy. OH, and I'm gonna try and do all of these blog prompts and all of my homework tooo! :)

    sincerely, TORI :) <3

  11. I feel that I accomplished a lot of things. I'm starting to get better and get the hang of things. But I also feel that I didn't try hard enough. So next semester I would try to work harder, study more, and pay attention during class and stop talking.I feel a little more confident this nine weeks cause I'm actually doing better. My goal for next nine weeks is acutally try to get an A.
