Holiday Blog Prompt 3

What concept(s) from Algebra II did you most struggle with? Why? We will be revisiting many Algebra II concepts this semester, what do you plan to do differently to master them?

  1. HEY TAYLOR HERE AND HERE IS MY ANSWER TO THIS PROMPT!!!

I guess the Algebra 2 things that i had problems with were some of the graphing, i integer things, the midline stuff, and anything where you had to get information from a graph. I had these problems because I do not have a great memory and I cannot remember what the formula, rules, or even some examples of these problems. Since I did not remember these aspects I could not figure out the answer to problems that needed us to remember these keys point from algebra 2. I really do not have a plan when it comes to studying or restudying these things but I do have an idea. My idea is that i will memorize the formulas and some examples as well as look over some of my old problems and notes from last year to help me figure out how to come up with the answer to the ones that were hard for me before.

WELL THATS ALL FOR NOW TILL NEXT TIME JA NE!!!(goodbye in japanese).

  2. oh my gosh, where do i start.
factoring, completting the square, solving for x(the really complicated ones), powers that are in fractions, solving systems of equations. why? i can't really say my reason on here...I plan to actually get some real work done, i've never learned math like i have this year, it needs to be gone over again cuz my whole foundation of algebra two sucks. i plan to actually learn it instead of just passing the test and forgetting about it. i want to win at a competition but its the algebra two is what's killing me. there's so many little things i don't remeber, but i don't know if i'll ever crack open a algebra two book and go learn it. actually, i know i won't. again, i want to win at a competition but i honestly don't see that happening. hhaha, i'm not looking forward to this break ending and having to have math homework everyday again,..haha ugh.

  3. I think that i struggled the most with graphing problems and the logarithms. I could always solve the problem correctly but i could never graph the problems and i can't that why i failed the section with amp and periods sooo horrible. I dont understand why i never do well on graph problems but even in middle school i could never graph and in physics with Mr. Miano i could never graph the problems.
With the logarithms i never understood that at all. It went completely over my head and you will have to teach this to me from the beginning because i didnt understand but it was not a big part of my exam so i did not really to learn it but now its probably goin to hurt me in the long run :/

  4. ummmmm lets see. imma be honest i didnt struggle with algebra 2 at all. i didnt even try and still made A's and B's. i know imma have to try with b rob cuz i know she will find a way to bite me in the butt and have me take her exam again which was really fun so i didnt care. i guess i can say factoring kinda got to to me and logarithms other than that i did fine. so im not too worried about going over anything.

  5. Most of algebra 2 is complicated for me. things such as completing the square and most of the graphing problems. For some reason i have a lot of problems with graphing and its hard for me to grasp the concept of things. If i keep practicing and practicing i know that i can do it, but right now i cant. this semester i plan on working much harder to understand everything as much as i can. should probably start focusing more on it instead of not worrying much about it.

  6. Charlie's blog response..

i don't think i struggled wiht anything in algebra two. I ACTUALLY MADE STRAIGHT A'S IN THERE. but not in advanced math, nope. cuz this class is almost impossible, it's a little rediculous. it makes me feel dumb, like a complete idiot. the blogs are the only reason i have a b right now. so, maybe it's good that we are goin through algebra two stuff. i might actually start making a's now. and if i don't miss any blogs, i might get an a this semester, MAYBE(:.. i hate when you ask what we'll do different, cuz i always say i'll pay attention maybe do more homework, but i don't.

  7. This is Nathan with the final blog prompt response of the holidays.

I never really liked algebra 2. I really had problems with completing the square, logarithms, and all of the graphing. I hope that going back to something that we have already learned will be a good thing. Learning new advanced math concepts would probably blow all of our minds. I guess that I will try to understand the concepts better than last year and make a good attempt to master them. Well, I will see everyone tommorrow.

  8. I had problems with completing the squares and graphing. I think i would do a lot better if i put more effort and time into studying and pay attention and focus more on the work.

  9. tori's
    3 down, 4 to go.

like almost everyone else, the main things i had problems with were completing the square, logs, and the extremely hard graphing and solving for x problems. also, to agree with charlie, i hate when you ask us how we'll be different because we say things that we'll never do. maybe by 4th 9weeks ill pay attention a lot more and do all of the homework and HOPEFULLY pass with a high B!

  10. Oh my logs. Logs logs logs. I fail horribly at them. I can figure out the answer if its multiple choice since it has to do with exponents, so I can eliminate some answers. And graphs. Hyperbolas, Parabolas, and whatever else I'm forgetting. - Feroz

  11. Hey this is Dylan, my main thing I am struggling with are some factoring and completing th square. Also sometimes problems for factoring do not click. I think I need to see easier problems and recognize them, then progressively recognize ones that are harder to do. I'm just like everyone else huh?

It could help quite a bit if you did and I will try to understand the concepts better than last year and make a good attempt to master them. Bye
